The City of Athens and its Youth and Sport Organisation (ONA) will stage the 28th Athens Fun Run, the biggest mass sporting event organised at local government level and a city institution, on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at 10:00, with athletes ready to depart from the Panathenian (Kalimarmaro) Stadium.

This year’s Athens Fun Run is dedicated to the Special Olympics World Summer Games Athens 2011 and aims to spread a message of participation, brotherhood, social solidarity and the acceptance of individuals with special skills who will take part in the Fun Run.

Tourists prefer Rhodes

Tourist arrivals at the airport of the Aegean island of Rhodes increased by 132 percent last month, compared to the corresponding month in 2010, according to data announced by the Civil Aviation Service.

Tourists arriving in Rhodes with charter flights amounted to 67,692, while during the same month last year they had totalled 42,495. The increase in April was in the region of 132.54 percent, a percentage that was surely unexpected despite optimism over the development of the month's movement.

Last month services of the Civil Aviation Service had recorded the movements of 945 aircraft, while last year the corresponding figure was 436 and in 2009 558.

The increased tourist movement in April is due to a certain degree to the fact that this year the Orthodox and Catholic Easter coincided, while also contributing to this development was the continuing unrest in countries in North Africa that turned European tourists to safer countries.

Greek researchers offered fresh evidence of the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet, reporting in a large study that it helps improve several risk factors linked to diabetes, obesity and heart disease.

The Mediterranean diet is high in monounsaturated fats such as olive oil and also relies heavily on whole-grain cereals, fruits and vegetables, fish and low consumption of animal fats. It has been shown in numerous studies and clinical trials to reduce mortality from such causes as cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Experts believe the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits of the foods associated with the diet confer health benefits across a variety of diseases.

In a new analysis that pooled findings from 50 different studies involving a total of more than 500,000 patients, researchers led by Demosthenes B. Panagiotakos of Harakopio University, Athens, found the diet had beneficial effects against five components of a prediabetic condition called the metabolic syndrome. The analysis found that adherence to a Mediterranean diet was associated with a 31% reduction in risk of developing the syndrome.

The constellation of components of metabolic syndrome include waist circumference over 40 inches in men and 35 inches in women, abnormally high blood pressure and blood sugar, very low levels of HDL or good cholesterol and high levels of blood fats called triglycerides. Abnormalities in these risk factors are widespread among the growing numbers of people who are obese or overweight or have diabetes.

Heart experts and public-health officials believe effective approaches to helping people shrink their waistlines and achieve normal blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels would help reduce the devastating toll of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

The new study, published online Monday by the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, is consistent with other findings of the protective benefit of the Mediterranean diet.

Elizabeth Jackson, a cardiologist at University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, said the study suggests that "when people are able to make improvements through diet, they are preventing the need in the future to go on medication" to control blood pressure and other risk factors. If doctors make more effort "to counsel patients on what a general healthy-eating diet is like, we can get a lot of bang for the buck," she added.

There were some limitations to the findings. For one, the benefit against the metabolic syndrome was found mostly in studies conducted in Mediterranean countries, and not in countries outside of that region.

Dr. Jackson said different designs of the underlying studies and the duration of follow-up could have influenced the results. She said, for instance, that U.S. studies, including the big Nurses Health Study at Harvard Medical School, have demonstrated the benefits of the diet in a U.S. population.

The results also reflect changes in recent years in how cardiologists look at the effect of diet on heart risk. For years, heart experts were focused on low-fat diets, but "we've really shifted our focus to thinking about other components," Dr. Jackson said. Research into the Mediterranean diet reflects how dietary fiber can affect measures like triglycerides.

A few days has left before the largest cultural institution in the country during the winter, the Patras Carnival 2011 goes to the end.

The best carnival in Greece and one of the most famous in Europe, which every year attracts and "stealing" their impressions. Satire, and strong caustic humor, combined with unchanged inspiration of Patras citizens, create a unique image. Approximately 40,000 to assemble the two carnival parades of the last big weekend of Carnival, which dance and entertain until the early hours.

One of the innovations of the Carnival is the Bourboulia. Dance is considered one of the oldest events of Carnival and started according to scholars of the history of Carnival just after the completion of construction of the Municipal Theatre "Apollo" by Ernst Ziller, around 1872.

The peculiarity of this dance, whose name means nothing more than boiled meat, bite snack, food on foot (one and when they started dancing was not prepared ... and it was handy as snacks), continues to this day to move and causing dozens of surprises. The Bourboulia are dances where men are not disguised, while women remain anonymous under a black tile and a black mask.

Apart from Bourboulia should mention the floats manufactured by craftsmen and Patras is really amazing. But this year there is another innovation in Patras Carnival. For the first time in history, the queen of the carnival will be black. A motion was made by the Municipality of Patras and has received many comments.

Some unexpected places as well as many of the usual suspects are among the most popular tourist destinations in Greece, according to the results of a vote on the awarding of tourist prizes that took place on Thursday night in the framework of the Philoxenia exhibition, in Thessaloniki.

Following a vote held through the website of Helexpo's exhibition agency, the five most popular seaside Greek destinations for 2010 are Samos, Crete, Lefkada, Santorini and Halkidiki.

The preferred mountain destinations are Old Agios Athanasios Pellas, Zagorohoria, Mount Olympus, Parnassos and Pilion.

The five most popular cities are Nafplio, Athens, Volos, Thessaloniki and Ioannina.

The competition takes place for the fifth consecutive year and the awarding of the prizes was carried out after Philoxenia's inauguration ceremony by Culture and Tourism Minister Pavlos Yeroulanos.

The Greek island of Mykonos once again topped the list of best islands in Europe in the annual Conde Nast Traveler magazine awards for the year 2010.

Mykonos won the Reader's Choice Award for Best European Island for the seventh consecutive year, and the award was presented to deputy culture and tourism minister George Nikitiadis on Wednesday night during a special ceremony at the London World Travel Market international exhibition.

International Greek doctors conference in New York

Doctors of Greek origin from all over the world have gathered in New York, where the sessions of the annual conference of the International Network of Greek Doctors and Bioscientists began on Friday. The conference is taking place for the first time outside Greece and Cyprus.

During the opening session of the conference, addresses were made by Archbishop of America Demetrius, the general consuls of Greece and Cyprus Agis Baltas and Koula Sofianou, as well as local officials of the Greek American community.

The International Network of Greek Doctors and Bioscientists was created in June 2007 during the founding conference on Kos, that was under the auspices of Greek President Karolos Papoulias.

Athens hotels report improved room occupancy figures

Hotels in the Attica region on Friday reported an 11 percent decline in revenues and a 4.4 percent fall in room occupancy rates in October, compared with the same month last year. An announcement by the Association of Athens-Attica Hoteliers said hotel prices fell in October, while celebrations for the 2,500 years of the battle of Marathon and the Athens Marathon race helped Athens hotels to improving their performance.

Hotels in Athens-Attica, however, continued presenting the lowest occupancy rates compared with other rival cities (61.1 percent in the January-October period this year), along with the fourth cheapest average rate per room (106.83 euros) and the third lowest revenue per available room (65.27 euros) in Europe.

The association said it expected a lot in reversing this negative trend from a “Athens Every Week” programme, currently promoted by the Tourism ministry.

New metro station in Athens

The Athens Metro's new station in the northern suburb of Aghia Paraskevi will be completed by the end of the year, Attiko Metro S.A. chief Christos Tsitouros announced on Thursday, during a visit to the construction site with European Investment Bank (EIB) vice-president Plutarchos Sakellaris. Sakellaris, in turn, said the EIB will continue to co-finance projects such as the Athens and Thessaloniki metro networks.

In beautiful Lefkada

Visitors arriving on the Ionian island of Lefkada, in western Greece, are greeted by impressive mansions of old aristocrats standing next to neoclassical and renaissance buildings that house museums and cultural institutions in the city of Lefkada, the island's capital. Terraces made of wood, stone-built slip-roads and colorful tin houses, make up the old section of the city.

The island is connected to the mainland by a long causeway, or draw bridge, and an undersea tunnel.

The main shopping street is pedestrianised, and runs through the middle of the town to the north harbour. The stone-built pedestrian zone is where the city'Αs heart beats.

The city of Lefkada has been the capital of the island since the late 17th century when the Turks handed it over to Francesco Morosini, the descendent of a well-known Venetian family.

Lefkada is said to be where the poet Sappho ended her life, while myths link the island to the ancient Greek goddess of love Aphrodite and to Odysseus, the hero of Homer's Odyssey. In fact, it has been suggested that Lefkada was Odysseus' Ithaca.

It was the birthplace and home of poet and politican Aristotelis Valaoritis (1824-1879) and the birthplace of the Greco-Irish orientalist and poet Patrick Lafcadio Hearn, who was later known also as Koizumi Yakumo.

Ancient theatre on Limnos opens after 2,500 years

The ancient theatre of Hephaistia, on the eastern Aegean island of Limnos, opens for the first time after 2,500 years on Aug. 11 with a performance of ancient Greek dramatist Sophocles' play "Oedipus the King" directed by Spyros Evangelatos.

The theatre has a seating capacity of 200 in its main area, while other 1,000 people can be seated outside where they will be able to watch the performance through a giant screen.

The ancient theatre of Hephaistia, the city of the ancient Greek god Hephaestus, underwent reconstruction in 2000-2004 and is regarded as one of the most important ancient Greek theatres dating back to the late 5th and early 4th century BC, while certain additions have been made in the Hellenistic and Roman Times.

All organised beaches in Attica prefecture (the greater Athens area) are suitable and safe for swimming, the east Attica prefecture department for health announced on Thursday after testing 112 samples of sea water taken from beaches around the Greek capital last month.
The tests by a certified laboratory confirmed that the beaches fully comply with minimum standards of sea water quality, established in a 1986 joint ministerial decision. (ANA-MPA)

The test samples taken also included several popular beaches near Athens, such as Voula (11 samples), Vouliagmeni (13 samples) and Varkiza (six samples); beaches near (ANA-MPA) densely populated seaside towns like Artemida (Loutsa), and Nea Makri, and also near the ports of Lavrio (14 samples) and Rafina (five samples).

The prefecture said the programme for checking water quality will continue with tests in July and August.

On the island of “Owners” Andros

Andros is the northernmost Cycladic island and second in area after Naxos. Administratively it is a province, having three municipalities: Andros, Korthi and Idrousa. According to 1991 census the population of the island was 8781 inhabitants.

Andros has an area of 374 sq. km and an elongated shape stretching from N-NW to S-SE. Whole island is mountainous, with a central range reaching its highest at Petalo and Kouvara (highest peak is Profitis Ilias, 997 m.). The main port is at Gavrio, with a regular connection to Rafina, while the ports of Batsi, Hora and Korthi can facilitate fishing and touristic boats. At the western part of Andros are the big sandy beaches of the island, easily accesible and developed. Those seeking quiet beaches and rough landscapes should visit the northeastern and southeastern parts.

There are many rivers and torrents and plenty of springs. Ravines have rich vegetation with plane and walnut trees, while the slopes (especialy at the south) are full of oak trees. Since a long time ago, big parts of the slopes have been transformed, using stone walls, to step-like shapes locally called "emasies". Around the villages there are olive and lemon trees groves and many vineyards. Andros owes its ancient names "Idrousa", "Lasia", "Nonagria" and "Epagris" to water and its rich vegetation. The northwestern part of the island is bushy and somebody can see partidges, hawks or even rarer predatory birds, like eagles, wild pigeons and martins.

Beaches in Andros

In Hora area there is the organized beach at Niborio and the marvelous isolated beach at Achla, where you can go by a small boat ("kaiki") as well. You may also try the beaches at Paraporti, Gialia and Piso Gialia.

In Batsi you can choose between "Golden Beach", the large well-organized beach by the town, or the exceptional beaches nearby, like Stivari, Agia Marina and Agios Kyprianos.

In Gavrio area and further north you have a big choice, isolated or bustling ones. Fellos, at close distance from Gavrio, Zorkos, Vitali and Ateni are just a few waiting for you.

In the south, in Korthi area, there is the large beach of the town, Kantouni, the nearby Vintzi and Agia Ekaterini and the more isolated Kalamonari, Bouros, Kremydes. Unforgettable experience will be your visit to "Grias Pidima", an impressive beach very close to Ormos.

In Paleopoli swim at the nice beach of the bay, which you will reach by a short walk.

Escaping from the villages and the crowded places, discover isolated, sandy or rocky beaches. There is a road to most of them, but others are accessible only through old footpaths or by boat.

Greece looks to greater cooperation with China in the areas of tourism and shipping and hopes to attract Chinese investment to Greece, Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping Minister Louka Katseli told on Saturday, during a press conference in Shanghai during Greek Day at the EXPO 2010.

According to the minister, her contacts with Chinese officials and business people in the city had revealed potential for further business activity between the two countries in these areas. During the press conference, she also presented the e-book "Invest in Greece" that provides information for potential investors on all the securitisation programmes planned by the Greek government in an upcoming privatisation drive.

Speaking at the Greek Pavilion in the Shanghai EXPO earlier the same day, China Ocean Shipping (COSCO) CEO and President Capt. Wei Jiafu stressed that China gave a vote of confidence to the Greek government's efforts to emerge from the crisis, adding that other Chinese companies had already shown interest in investing in Greece.

Katseli is also due to visit the Shanghai stock market on Monday as part of the effort to support and promote Greek business. During an event that the Greek Embassy, she had noted that Greece was hoped to promote cooperation with China in areas such as trade, by promoting products and services that could be sold to Chinese markets, by attracting investments from China, in the tourism and shipping sectors and in cultural exchanges.

The minister revealed that the two sides were currently considering a direct air link between Greece and Shanghai to assist tourism development, while China had expressed an interest in buying Greek products such as olive oil, wine, furs, jewellery, medicine and building materials.

Other areas of possible cooperation includr those of logistics, technology, construction and transport.

She appeared confident that Greece will be able to overcome the current problems and predicted that inflation would level off sometime in 2011, followed by economic growth.

Earlier on Saturday, Katseli had a meeting with Chinese Vice Minister for Transport Weng Mengyong, after which the two sides appeared confident that Greece and China can further extend bilateral cooperation.

and China signed 14 bilateral agreements on Tuesday during a visit to Greece by PRC Vice-Premier Zhang Dejiang, a prominent member of the country's politburo. Zhang arrived in Athens on Monday on a three-day visit at the invitation of his Greek counterpart Theodoros Pangalos.

Following meetings earlier on Tuesday with President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias and Pangalos, during which the agreements were signed, Zhang later attended a reception hosted by Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou on Tuesday afternoon.

In earlier statements, Papandreou underlined that bilateral relations between Greece and China are excellent and would be further deepened as a result of the agreements signed this week, as well as Greek-Chinese cooperation on an international and regional level.

Zhang said agreements reflected China's desire for stronger ties with Greece and appeared confident that the latter will overcome its current financial difficulties, adding that China will encourage substantial investments in the east Mediterranean country. He also conveyed greetings from Chinese Premier Wen Jiaobao.

Numerous Russian websites are urging Russian travellers, who are preparing to embark on their summer holidays, to choose from among the limitless beauties of Greece as their destination.

One of the oldest such sites, www.Greek.ru, which according to its creator Roman Simkin is the most popular Russian-language site on Greece, tallies some 5,000 visitors daily (according to Google Analytics).

"We are the most independent net portal on Greece -- without state support and sponsors," Simkin said in an interview with ANA-MPA. Simkin decided, after a visit to Greece nine years ago, to create a "little Greece" on the internet, in the Russian language.

"When we started up the site 9 years ago, Russian tourism to Greece was still in its first stages. Athens archaeological unification

Environment, Energy and Climate Change Minister Tina Birbili on Wednesday unveiled plans to complete the 'Archaeological Unification Project' and create a 'walk' linking all the major archaeological sites of Athens through improvements to Vassilisis Olgas Avenue, annoucing a tender to choose the project contractor within 2010.

Birbili said the project called for the linking of Zappion and the National Park with the temple of Olympian Zeus site and the completion of a 4km archaeological walk of the city that will begin at the Panathenian or 'Kallimarmaron' stadium to Kerameikos Square in Gazi.

The budget for the project has been tentatively set at four million euros and will receive funding from the Regional Urban Programme of Attica.

The results of the programme and the ideas submitted in the architectural competition will help form the final proposal and the tender for the project held within 2010.

The Carnival season is in full swing throughout Greece, with revelries lasting to February 14, the eve of the Clean Monday holiday that marks the beginning of the 40-day Great Lent leading to Orthodox Easter. On Sunday the 14th the Carnival culminates with the grand parade of floats, culminating in the traditional burning of King Carnival which is accompanied by fireworks displays.

Carnival merry-making has gradually spread throughout the country, with cities, towns and villages organizing their own events and float parades reflecting local traditions.

The western port city of Patras, home of Greece's first and longest-running Carnival, has also pulled out all stops this year with a bevy of events that will also culminate in the theme float parade on Sunday.

Already the city of Patras gave a small taste of what is to come on Sunday, during the Children's Carnival parade, which was held on Monday. Fun, enthusiasm, creativity and spontaneity were once again the main characteristics of Children's parade, which left the visitors with the most promising impressions for the Patras Carnival future. The children's floats, like the scientist's air bicycle, the little carnival boy, the icebergs, the recycling drums, the smoke factory and the bath tab, attracted the attention and gave joy both to children and grown ups.

Valentine Day on February 14, is expected to peak the biggest festival in winter in Greece, which is none other than the Patras Carnival.

Panic prevails recently in the city of Patras, upon hearing the news that the world-renowned hard rock band The Scorpions, will open this year's events in the International Festival of Patras 2010.

The Scorpions concert scheduled for June 9 in Patras Stadium.

The German band that started the long march in the global music scene in Hanover, chosen after 45 years, to complete the course with this farewell concerts in many parts of the world. In Greece, one of the stations will be Patras.

The traditional dances of Bourboulia and Black domino at Patras Carnival

For another year the black dominoes with unchanged time freshness, invite unsuspecting escort in thrilling encounters mysterious, fun, adventure and carnival mood. This year the traditional dances of Bourboulia, made in connection with events of Carnival 2010, organized by the Culture and the Mayoralty DEPAP, changing room, the first will be held at the Old Arsakeion. The dances of Bourboulia will begin at 21.00 and ending one hour after midnight.

The Bourboulia considered one of the oldest events of Carnival and started according to scholars of the history of Carnival shortly after the completion of construction of the Municipal Theater "Apollo" by Ernest Ziller, at around 1872.
The peculiarity of this dance, whose name means nothing more than boiling meat, snack bites, food in the leg (we started when dances were not prepared ... and it was rough as appetizers), still to this day to moved and caused dozens of surprises. The Bourboulia are dances where men are disguised, while women remain anonymous beneath a black domino mask and a black.

Predictions on Sterling vs the Euro are targeted by reports from the major currency houses to reach 1.20 ( sometime this year, but no one has put a date yet on when this magical figure will be reached ), I have to say we have had a positive opening and we are currently seeing 1.15 so far this month.

Fuerteventura seems to have resolved the issue of the lack of flights over the winter with Ryanair returning to its services for the Island and Easy Jet now running its regular services to Stanstead and other UK airports, in fact I traveled to Stanstead recently with Easyjet and you could not have found a better flight.

What Patmos--a tiny island in the Aegean Sea--doesn't have in terms of expense it makes up for in religious history. Also known as the Holy Greek Island of Patmos (it's where St. John is thought to have written the Book of Revelation), the island is home to more than 50 churches. But it has its origins in Greek mythology: The legend goes that Zeus allowed Patmos to rise up from the ocean, and humans are thought to have settled there as far back as 2000 B.C.

Patmos also offers peace and quiet, with a population of just under 3,000 and space of 13 square miles--and it isn't teeming with tourists. The only means of transport to and from there is a ferry boat from the neighboring islands of Samos or Kos, yet visitors who know of the place return time and time again.
"Patmos' saving grace is that it has no airport," says Patricia Schultz, author of 1,000 Places To See Before You Die. "It is quiet, traditional and removed but not primitive. That and a beautiful interior and great beaches draws a very sophisticated crowd."
Yet living here won't dent the wallet too much. A three-bedroom house located about a five-minute walk from the beach will set you back 300,000 euros ($428,700). A one-bedroom house, also near the beach--it's hard not to be on such a small island--costs around 160,000 euros ($228,650).
"Prices in Patmos haven't really moved too much in the last year," says Elena Panagopoulou, of GoldAcre Estates in Patras, Greece. She adds that while property prices have slid in Athens, they've been resilient on the country's 227 inhabited islands.

In the island of Ionio Lefkada: holy oranges
The faithful gathered beside the sea and the priest throws the cross into the water, as in many parts of the country. But in Lefkada, along with the cross, the sea and throwing a bunch of oranges tied together with a rope. Then the blessed oranges, hung next to icons in churches.

Hermione Korinthos: seafarers diver
Shortly before the cross was dropped into the sea, the 'diver' characteristics known as the lads who will dive to catch the cross, wearing traditional costumes of old sailors and turn from house to house singing. The housewives of the welcoming greetings and traditional treats and wish them every success in dive below.

The custom of Nigger takes us many years back, when the Negroes warriors of Alexander the Great is said, that with their shouts able to prosecute their opponents of Indian elephants. Today, the locals, dressed in animal skins, wear bells and dancing in the street to chase the evil spirits and goblins. This custom, revived and in several areas of Kavala.

Thessaly: rivers and spraying
In many villages in Thessaly, where there are rivers, people get the icons from the church and the river transport. There, in the icy waters of the river, throwing the cross and sprinkle it with the icons, which then return to the church and tend to sprinkle with holy water and the fields to have a good harvest. Watching the price action between Sterling/Euro over the past few months has been like trying to push a dinosaur uphill - slow and frustrating! However, as we end the year it looks like Sterling has moved away from the threat of parity and should mover higher in 2010 with the potential for a 15 % appreciation against the Euro.

The recent bout of Sterling weakness was partly fuelled by comments from the Bank of England(BoE), underling the fact that a weak currency was crucial if the UK was to not only export its way out of the global economic slump, but it would also make the UK a much more attractive proposition for overseas investors.

A clear sign then from the BoE that a weak pound was of no real concern and something they would not look to prevent. With the UK enjoying extremely flexible labour laws and a fairly resistant consumer, the BoE is looking for the pound to take the “bad medicine “ahead of the Euro and bounce back in 2010.

The data coming out of the euro zone has been patchy to say the least, with the strong data out of Germany and France overshadowing the weak data from the rest of the member states,and following the problems in Greece growth in the euro zone in 2010 could lag behind that of the USA and Japan again a problem weighing on the single currency The ratification of the Lisbon treaty by the Irish has gone mainly unnoticed by the currency markets, as it was seen as a forgone conclusion. Going into 2010 what will be of most interest, is how the different member states handle their economies. It was very easy for the European Central Bank (ECB) to slash rates along with the rest of the world. However, as the global economy starts to gather pace, not all member sates will relish higher interest rates. Ireland, Greece, Portugal and Spain will not welcome higher rates and the Germans, with their huge budget surplus, have stated they will not be prepared to subsidise other member states. It could prove a real test of the “European dream”.

In the current climate, currency markets overreact and that is why a move to parity still cannot be ruled out. However, if the UK economy starts to grow and the ever increasing fiscal debt can continue to be sold into the world markets, then a strong move higher in 2010 will happen . With the threat of a double dip recession upon us, and unemployment continuing to rise in the UK and the Euro Zone, it could be the flexibility and agility of the UK economy against the one size fits all policy of the Euro Zone that sparks this move higher.

2010 will prove to be a real test for Europe as the weaker member states who have mishandled their economies during the good times find the currency markets will be very unforgiving in the bad times

Prime Minister George Papandreou (r) greets the new leader of New Democracy, Antonis Samaras, at the latter’s office. The two men, aged 57 and 58 respectively, studied together at Amherst College in Massachusetts in the early 1970s.

Antonis Samaras took over yesterday as the leader of New Democracy from Costas Karamanlis after scoring a clear victory in Sunday’s election, which is seen as a clear mandate for the former finance, foreign and culture minister to begin reshaping the conservative party.

Τhe new archaeological museum of Patras, opened its gates and is able to welcome visitors who wish to admire up close the rare archeological exhibits.

The museum, which is housed in an impressive building at the entrance of Achaian capital, hosts the exhibition of over two thousand exhibits from Mycenaean to the late Roman period.

THE NEW MUSEUM IN FIGURES
The exhibition area is 2,642 sq.m. and contains 57 exhibits shop for 1300 exhibits (clay, stone, metal and glass), 200 gold objects, 40 bronze objects of the Mycenaean period, 28 projects mainly sculptures of the Roman period and 14 mosaic floors (300 sq.m.).

In addition, 185 square meters covering the two reconstructions of ancient buildings, an urban farm and a Roman residence hall to privacy and a funerary monument in the cemetery here.

A meter 88 centimeters high statue is nine meters in length the largest mosaic floors, a smaller exhibit in millimeters (one gold bead).
